Sebastian Sonntag, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer of LocalBitcoins, the leading P2P Bitcoin exchange in the world. Sebastian’s background prior to LocalBitcoins is in various areas of technology and business. Over the last 15 years, he has had an extensive history in leadership and research in the IT industry – holding executive and board roles, founding several tech startups as well as teaching for over a decade in the University of Helsinki and the Aalto University. 

Sebastian’s current focus as CEO is on bringing the new chapter of growth to LocalBitcoins.
